The 14th edition of the International Electric & Automation Show – IEAS will take place from 18 to 20 September at the Palace of the Parliament in Bucharest and will bring together over 80 Romanian and foreign companies, in an integrated business concept.
The three exhibition halls with an area of over 3,600 sqm will present the latest products and technologies in the fields of electrical equipment, automation, SMART CITY applications, industrial robots and software solutions.
The 2018 edition of IEAS brings a lot of novelties, with respect to both the participating companies and the “Integrated Business Platform” concept. This year, there is a significant increase in the number of companies participating for the first time, which a sign that the industry is growing and the Romanian market is developing. Over 33% of exhibitors are new companies.
In addition to the exhibition, visitors will be able to attend a series of conferences and workshops supported by companies or by different associations. The companies in the industry will meet the authorities that regulate the market and energy prices and will discuss the framework and rules imposed by the European Union and more. A theme of interest presented in the conferences – energy efficiency, energy savings and cost reduction – will be debated during the event.
This year, IEAS continues its partnership with the Association of Electricity Suppliers in Romania (AFEER) and will host the second edition of the National Energy Fair organized by AFEER under the slogan “An informed consumer is a protected consumer!”
2018 is the year of the total liberalization of the electricity market. What does this mean for the consumer? Who can benefit? AFEER promotes the opportunity of the free market. Over 1.25 million households have already switched to the competitive market (ANRE – April 2018). Tens of thousands of consumers switch every month to better prices, value-added services and a closer customer-supplier relation.
The “Student Technical Innovation Awards” contest, now in its 2nd edition, will designate its winners on the first day of the exhibition. DK Expo, as the organizer of IEAS, continues to support the universities and reward excellence and innovation, and this year’s selected projects reflect the growing interest of students and innovative ideas to develop and change the world.
Entrance to the exhibition is free; those interested can visit IEAS from 18 to 20 September, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Visitors can enter the Palace of the Parliament through Gate B3 on Calea 13 Septembrie. For a quick access to the exhibition, participants can register online here.
